Yup, it’s done….Summer 2012 is now history. It was wonderful, super fun and, as usual, too short! The beachgoers are long gone, it’s time to wear a sweater, and as I walk on the beach, I’m finding seaglass, shells and driftwood because no one is around to collect it first! Uh, can we do a rewind? Seriously, I’m not quite sure I’m ready for pumpkins, turkey and the Christmas tree within a three week period (are these stores for real with all three holidays displayed simultaneously??) So what do I do with all my summery decor that I adore? I’m not one to put it away (because by doing that, I’m really acknowledging that summer’s a goner), so I came up with a pleasing autumn adjustment to my summer palette.
Orange is the color of the season certainly. I remember that on the color wheel blue is the complimentary color. So… since I adore all shades of turquoise and sea blues, why not combine these two fabulous colors for a spectacular fall display? What beach house wouldn’t look wonderful with this striking coastal combination? Kind of like the colors of gorgeous beach sunsets. Add in some fabulous natural pussy willow flower lights and voila!
